We are standing at the opening of the cave looking out. We usually like to stop and smell all the plants. In normal circumstances, a cave does not have much to smell. When you exit a cave, your sense of smell is thrown for a loop and you can practically smell every single leaf on each tree. The strong smell of the outdoors quickly fades as your nose gets back to normal.
